Today, we will learn how to manage TJ campaigns with the help of RedTrack in as little as 5 steps:

  1. Adding TJ as a Traffic Source in RedTrack
  2. Launching  a campaign in RedTrack
  3. Modifying the tracking link
  4. Setting up a campaign in TJ
  5. Creating Postback URL

Step 1. Adding TJ as a Traffic Source in RedTrack

To add TJ to RedTrack open the Sources tab and click New. Choose TJ from the catalog and press Add. TJ postback URL and all the available macros will be already added to the Source.

Note that Postback URL template for TJ will be already pre-set in RedTrack. However, you need to replace [TRACKERID] and [TJACCOUNTID] with actual values that can be obtained from Invocation code. We will explain it in greater detail in Step 5.

Step 2. Starting a Campaign in RedTrack

Now that we have our Traffic Source in place, it is time to set up a new campaign. In RedTrack, go to the Campaigns tab and click New. Submit all the relevant details, such as your desired Campaign Name, Landing Page and the offer(s) associated with this campaign. Choose TJ as Traffic Source and click Save.

Your Campaign URL will be generated automatically. Copy the link to clipboard.

Step 3. Modifying Campaign URL

Important! Make sure to add Click id macros to the default campaign URL. For TJ, you need to use {ACLID} parameter for this purpose.

Here’s an example of a campaign link with Click id macros added:{ACLID}

Step 4. Launching a campaign in TJ

Log into your TJ advertiser account, click the Campaigns tab. You can either choose an existing campaign or click New Campaign and create a new one. Fill in the information related to your campaign.

Paste the Campaign URL you have obtained in Step 3 into Target URL section and proceed with setting up your TJ Campaign.

Step 5. Setting Up RedTrack to pass conversions to TJ

In order to track your conversions correctly, you need to set up a new tracker in TJ. Open Tools>Conversion Tracker and click New Tracker. Enter the name of your tracker (eg. RedTrack) and specify the type of events you wish to track. Click Add Tracker.

Find your tracker on the list and click view in Invocation Code column. Choose Postback URL and your Postback URL will be generated automatically.

Copy the a and member_id values from Invocation code and replace [TRACKERID] and [TJACCOUNTID] with actual values in RedTrack. Make sure that your postback contains Click id values that should look like this aclid={ref_id}
