Tonic Integration




Tonic is the traffic marketplace for advertisers and publishers who are interested in buying or selling email, domain, pop or exit traffic. Through their self-service platform with global desktop and mobile coverage, advertisers can find exclusive, high quality traffic starting at $0.001 per unique visitor, with multiple targeting options like geo, desktop/mobile, device and carrier targeting, while publishers can find CPC/CPA campaigns with payouts above industry standards.


Today, we will walk you through the integration process and show how to track your Tonic Campaigns with help of RedTrack. In order to get started, follow these simple steps:


  1. Add Tonic as a Traffic Source in RedTrack
  2. Set up a Campaign in RedTrack
  3. Launch a Campaign in Tonic
  4. Add Postback URL to RedTrack



Step 1. Adding Tonic as a Traffic Source in RedTrack


To add Tonic to RedTrack, open the Sources tab and click New. Choose Tonic from the catalog and press Add. Postback URL and tracking macros used by Tonic will be automatically added to the Source.






Step 2. Starting a Campaign in RedTrack


Now that we have our Traffic Source in place, it is time to set up a new Campaign. In RedTrack, go to the Campaigns tab and click New. Submit all the relevant details, such as your desired Campaign Name, Landing Page and the Offer(s) associated with this Campaign. Choose Tonic as Traffic Source and click Save.

Your Campaign URL will be generated automatically. You may remove the macros you don't wish to use. The only obligatory parameter for conversion tracking is ref_id. Copy the link to clipboard.





Step 3. Launching a Campaign in Tonic


In your Tonic advertiser account, open either the POP or the Zero-Click tab, depending on which type of Campaign you wish to create. Click the New Campaign button. Submit the necessary information regarding your traffic and targeting options and proceed to the Next Step

Paste the Campaign URL you copied in Step 2 of this guide into the Redirect URL field.



If you wish to track conversions for your Campaign, open the Optional Advanced Settings tab. Here you will see the Postback URL template used by Tonic. The link needs to be edited with necessary tracking parameters. Good news is, we have done it for you and the correct link is already added to RedTrack!




Choose the Auto payout option if your Affiliate Network allows dynamic payout tracking. Otherwise insert the cost manually. Once you are done setting up your Campaign, click the Save and Start Campaign button.


Step 4. Adding Postback URL in RedTrack


As mentioned above, Postback URL from Tonic is already edited and added to RedTrack for you. In order to populate it, navigate the Postback settings section within the Campaign creation window and click Add. 






Now you’re all set! Optimizing your Tonic Campaigns will be easier than ever with RedTrack. Once again, all it takes is 4 simple steps:

  1. Adding Tonic to your list of Traffic Sources
  2. Setting up a Campaign in RedTrack
  3. Launching a Campaign in Tonic
  4. Populating Postback URL to RedTrack
